Full moon rising over the hills across the way.
Cold, crisp air to breathe.
The peals of laughter coming from the toboggan rocketing down the drive at lightspeed……….well, maybe not quite that fast. But fast enough for the mommy to wonder for a moment if perhaps the young thing should be wearing a helmet (like the bobsledders and such).
“Night tobogganing” as Ms. Gracelyn said. And with extra good luck due to the full moon and then the jet trail she saw across the moon. I should have asked if she was sure it was a jet and not, perhaps, instead, Santa and eight tiny reindeer.
I was too busy soaking up the glory.
Oh what a night….late December, here in 2013…what a lady, what a night.
(LOVE that song. Do click the link to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.)
